Pepa Stationery is a locally owned, independent stationery store situated in the Christchurch Arts Centre - showcasing stationery, books, & accessories sourced from independent producers from around the world. The store is helmed by Hannah Hutchinson, a designer and maker with a passion for paper and big dreams about how paper goods can enrich and improve our everyday lives. Pepa was first brought to life by Ami Muir in 2017, with Hannah working in the store when it launched in October that same year.

In late 2018, Ami offered Hannah & husband Ian the incredible opportunity to purchase Pepa and continue the magic! The timing was a tad challenging as the official hand-over was the week of their wedding - but it was totally worth it. Their day was made even more special by having their Pepa and Arts Centre friends join them to celebrate!

Pepa consists of a small and dedicated team who work hard to make every experience you have with us, whether it be in store or online, one that is special. We are passionate about our products and eager to help you find just what you are looking for. We are INCREDIBLY grateful for every single order we receive, and for all the support from our Pepa Community. Thank you for allowing us to be able to showcase quality writing tools and paper goods from NZ and around the world. We hope to make working at home something special for you, as well as provide stationery and cards that will brighten your day and spread kindness to others.

On the announcement that we would be moving to Level 4 in March 2020, our team made the impromptu decision to move all our stock temporarily to one of our homes, where we were able to create a mini version of the store. From there we continued to process our online orders and have them delivered throughout NZ, as well as make contactless doorstep deliveries in Christchurch! Once restrictions were lifted, we moved back into our Pepa home at the Arts Centre, and two years on we are so happy to be working in our beautiful heritage building.
